The Youngest Certified Farmer in Georgia is Inspiring Future Black Farmers
Kendall Rae Johnson is the youngest certified farmer in Georgia at 6 years old! Kendall founded aGROWKulture with the help of her mother and now is a member of farming organizations such as Georgia Grown and the Georgia Farm Bureau. aGROWKulture is a gardening club that offers food subscription boxes while also spreading awareness about gardening and farming among families and young aspiring farmers.
We admire Kendall for her hard work and for being a trailblazer in the farming industry. Kendall is showing her peers to follow their passions no matter the occupation. Kendall is changing the farming industry to reflect the diversity of our reality. Like Zoe in the toy aisle, representation matters, and this is only the beginning.
Check out aGROWCKulture and all the great work Kendall is doing here. She’s definitely growing places, and we’re excited to watch her grow.
