What Jojo Siwa Teaches Us About Authenticity

Jojo Siwa, also known as the Hannah Montana of her generation, is best known for her bright-colored bow, beautiful sequence, and positive influence on young kids. Children who grew up with Jojo talking about topics they could relate to and spreading joy.

Below are the key lessons we can learn from Jojo’s life.

Express yourself with your talents

Jojo can sing, dance, and entertain with her cheerful personality. Starting her career in Abby Lee’s Ultimate Dance Competition and then being picked to be a part of Dance Moms, the fans truly fell in love with her on the show.

This led to Jojo branching off into her own Youtube channel, where she gave the behind-the-scenes scoop on Dance Moms while also making fun videos for kids. Eventually, she released two singles, Boomerang and Kid in a Candy store where she talked about relatable topics such as cyberbullying. Her talents led her to catch the attention of Nickelodeon and eventually sold-out shows on her D.R.E.A.M Tour

Jojo’s talents preceded her, and her personality matches. Everybody has unique skills that anybody would love to see. Express yourself and use your skills. You never know where life may take you.

Be bold and wear what you want

Jojo is known to wear large colorful bows and sequined pieces that match her bubbly personality. Her style led to the launch of her line of bows with Claires, Jojos bows. Her bows are a symbol of power, confidence, and believing-ness.

Her style encourages little girls all over to truly cherish their childhood. The products embody every little kid’s dream: jackets covered in sequins, bright pinks, unicorns, rainbows, and giant accessories.

Little kids build confidence when they wear colorful clothing because it teaches them to walk into any space with their heads held high. They’re only a kid once, so rocking what they want when they want is just the start.

Stay positive

In the midst of her receiving hate comments in a feud with Justin Beiber and even getting hate from parents who disliked her being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, she responds with love and positivity.

Before Jojo’s career, she attended public school. While she was in school, in the third grade, she figured out her new mantra, #PeaceOutHaterz. Jojo explains how her life changed forever when she witnessed her peers bully a special-needs student. Seeing the same student crying at a party later that year changed her. She said she would never forget that day for as long as she lives.

Stand in your truth

Jojo’s brand has always been based around her living authentically. When she came out without a specific label, everybody noticed how she felt.

Jojo is living her authentic life, feels incredible, and explains how she’s never been this happy before. She received a lot of positive feedback from her young fanbase and Nickelodeon. This shows young girls that happiness will be one of the most significant rewards when they’re standing in their truth and being unapologetically themselves.

Zoe loves Jojo Siwa and the lessons she’s teaching all of her curlfriends. Always remember to stand in your truth, be unapologetically you, and stay positive #PeaceOutHaterz.
